Decorating your Man Cave

Where to Start?

Classing Up Your Man Cave: Masculine Artwork That Your Spouse Won’t Hate

Something every man dreams of is the perfect man cave – a sanctuary perfectly tailored to his tastes and desires. However, the reality is that while the room may be yours, the house is most likely shared with another, and you’re probably married to them. So when it comes to décor, it pays in the long run to take their feelings into consideration and at least try to pick out things they won’t totally hate.

With that in mind, we’ll take a look at a few tasteful displays of masculinity — from two perspectives.

A Manly Portrait

If a good man cave extolls the virtues of masculinity, then it should have at least one piece of art that pays tribute to famous icons of manliness. This bold painting of Muhammad Ali by Jesse Raudales serves as a great example.

Recommended as a great man cave gift. Anyone looking for a gift that person who is hard to buy for, for real, who doesn’t like Ali? This art piece created by one of our favorite Olympic artists, Jesse Raudales.

The Great Outdoors

It’s no big secret that many men turn to hunting and fishing as a way to unplug from the noise of modern society and reconnect with nature. If this applies to you, why not reflect this in your man cave? These two pieces – Fish in Geometrics III by Florent Bodart and Once Upon by Andrej Z.T. – are both great works that combine the subject of animals in nature with the thoughtfulness and creativity of modern art.

From a different perspective, these art pieces are a great choice for the person who loves the world of hunting and fishing game. Created with a modern twist makes for pairing your current home décor and furniture easy, and tasteful (pun intended)!

Get Your Motor Runnin’

Looking for adventure? For a lot of men, the allure of the open road is a strong one. This simple-but-striking illustration of the 1950 Vincent Black Shadow by Terry Pastor celebrates the excitement of heading down the highway on a classic motorcycle.

This classic motorcycle can be appreciated by anyone with a respect for the evolution of transportation. You don’t have to be a “greeser” to appreciate this fine vintage art print.

Movies ‘n’ Beer

Part of the magic of having your own man cave is the fun of fellow men getting together and sharing laughs over some beer and manly movies. Movie posters, like this great one-sheet for the classic 1975 film Jaws, make perfect décor for your media center, and comedic pieces like Beer Will Change The World by Ephemera shows that beer and humor are a perfect combination.

Jaws is a cult classic movie that any spouse can get into, that is unless they have a fear of the ocean.

Honestly, you can’t argue with Ephemera’s classic and witty humor art decor. Find your favorite Ephemera piece that speaks your mind here!
