Andy Crawford has had a camera in hand most of his life, even as he worked as a writer in the newspaper and outdoor industry after graduating from college. Almost 30 years into his writing career, his passion for documenting the outdoors with a camera became all-consuming and he finally fulfilled his dream of being a full-time photographer. He began in the swamps around his South Louisiana home, creating photos that communicate the essence of these mysterious wetlands. Now he travels the country, driving every back road he can and searching out the beauty of the United States. From the high deserts of the Southwest to the Atlantic Coast and from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border, Andy searches out natural treasures to photograph. However, he still returns to the swamps every chance he gets to muck around in the Louisiana swamps. He lives between Baton Rouge and New Orleans with his wife of 33 years.
